  • I - Crown in Peril

It is midsummer of the year 4995, and Arginium has enjoyed many long years of relative peace. For four decades, Juliora, High Queen of the Grand Commonwealth, has held her vast realm together through a combination of political savvy and subtle manipulation. From the orcs in the north to the elves in the west, her name invokes a sense of royal power and serene constancy, and she is recognised as one of the greatest monarchs ever to sit the Sapphire Throne.

But a sinister conspiracy with deep, ancient roots lingers like a malign backdrop to this era of calm. A shadowy player on the field of Continental politics, believing themselves grossly wronged by the queen's ancestors and in command of a deadly network of supporters, works in secret to bring down the Royal House of Galienno. This conspiracy will go to any length to ensure that the queen, and those who would succeed her, are erased from existence, their bloodline forever destroyed.

This dark secret is stumbled upon by Lenseph Allidia, an up and coming arcanist who knows nothing of his past. It falls upon him, and those who will come to his aid, to expose this wicked design before it can be brought to fruition. He will be challenged everywhere he turns, facing off against agents of the conspiracy itself, and struggling to reveal the truth in the face of skepticism from his own superiors and the queen's advisers. In spite of the difficulties facing him, Lenseph and his companions must press on, as every day the evil remains hidden, the Crown falls into ever deeper peril.

  • II - Wayfarer's Lament
  • III - Voice from the Isles
  • IV - Chains of the Deep
  • V - Terrace of the Gods

Even as mid-year 4999 is celebrated, the ominous portents of the prophecy regarding the year 5000 dwells in the back of everyone's mind. In spite of everything he has faced up to this point, Magister Allidia finds himself again confronting a fresh threat to the stability of the realm he calls home - the leader of the Incantrium has fallen ill, and is feared to be dying. With this tragedy as a backdrop, the ancient arcane order begins to fray at its edges, with some members advocating a more aggressive presence in Continental affairs in the face of their leader's fragile condition and the subsequent loosening of her usually strict grasp. Opposing them are those magisters who insist the order must remain neutral, serving both the Commonwealth and its citizens.

The looming schism is compounded by the revelation that the leader of the more militant magisters is seeking information on the whereabouts of one of the most legendary sites in all the world - the mythical Terrace of the Gods,
